International Telephone Service from PHS is now available in Japan.
International telephone service is available from PHS terminals of nine companies in the NTT Personal Communications Network Group, nine companies in the DDI Pocket Telephone Group, and five companies in the ASTEL Group, which greatly improves PHS’s convenience.
Herewith introduced is KDD’s international telephone services in Japan.
The call rate is lower than for equivalent conventional international telephone service from cellular phones. The following are some example rates for a three-minute daytime call (for international direct dial) from PHS in Japan:
International telephone service from PHS is available by signing up directly with KDD as well as from cellular phones. Dialing procedures from PHS are the same as with equivalent services from fixed line telephones.
