Last December, Toshiba launched PHS Personal Station (PS) "MEGA Carrots DL-M10" having an availability for DDI Pocket's (DDI-P) feel H" system (details are available in PHS MoU News No.30) .

MAIN FEATURES

1) Half transparent type 1.6-inch color LCD with a white back-light is easy to read even in dark place. Screen color is selectable from four choices, and favorite images can be shown sequentially in standby view.

2) Image taken by camera can be shown on LCD or sent via mail by optional Edge digital camera unit plugged into an earphone jack. Continuous 50 shots and shots with preferred frame shown on the screen are also available. 10 photos can be registered in telephone directory, and pop out when receiving a call from that person.

3) "feelsound (100 tones, 12 chord tones)" can be heard with high quality sound by using high quality wide-range speaker having more than doubled frequency band than the former type. Further, downloaded "feelsound" from "H" Link" site can be enjoyed by plugging an optional Earphone-mike into an earphone jack.

4) High capacity memory is equipped to enable e-mails with up to 10,000 full-size characters or images to be received. 200 e-mails with approx. 200 characters or approx. 50 images (96 x 72 dots size) can be stored in this memory. Multiple mails can be deleted or transferred at once for mail clearance or memory area change.

5) Diversity antenna system has been adopted to select a stronger signal by using two antennas for signals coming from different directions. An adoption of the retractable long meander antenna which suppresses interference with built-in antenna as well as large size built-in dielectric chip antenna, diversity becomes available and the receiving quality while moving has been significantly improved.

6) In addition to "Address Redial" function which enables automatic registration of the continuous image contents or sent E-Mail addresses up to 10 items, "Direct Access" function used to access frequently used contents by touching key twice is also available.

7) New type Multi-Function Key with lighting and Soft-Key to show operation guide on the screen are also supporting advanced user interface.
