Toshiba Launches "feel-H" Beat Carrots DL-B01" with Music Downloading Function


This April, Toshiba launched PHS Personal Station (PS) "Beat Carrots DL-B01" capable of accessing DDI POCKET's (DDI-P) feel-H" Sound Market service, which was started last November in Japan.

Mobile audio players "MEA211AS" and "MEA212AS" are used for audio content storage and playing by connecting with the former "DL-B01."
Recently, demands for Internet music downloading service are becoming stronger due to its easiness as well as attractive content and such move has triggered the emergence of the products mentioned above.


Toshiba has made those products available for music downloading system "SDAIR" utilizing the SD memory card for product differentiation.
"DL-B01" is equipped with a large capacity memory enough for color image, e-mail as well as "feel Sound" functions which could be fully enhanced by feel-H" system.

System Configurationaaaa A maximum of 1,000 e-mails/DX-mails or approximately 50 minutes of audio content (at the bit-rate of 64 kbit/s) can be stored in its memory.

"MEA211AS" and "MEA212AS" are available not only for music listening but also for editing musical data by connecting with the personal computer (PC).
Attached software "Audio Manager" enables transferring the musical data to other SD memory card or built-in memory of other audio equipment through the PC.

  1. Downloaded musical contents can be stored as well as played by mobile audio player connected to the "DL-B01."


  2. Large capacity memory is equipped enough for long e-mails, color images and "feel Sound" functions.


  3. Half-transparent type 1.6" color LCD with white backlight is easy to see even in the dark place.
    Screen color is selectable from four choices, and favorite images can be shown sequentially in standby view.


  4. Image taken by an optional Digital Camera Unit can be attached to an e-mail and displayed on color LCD as well


  5. Diversity antenna system significantly improves receiving performances while moving.



"MEA211AS"/ "MEA212AS"
  1. Musical data can be transferred to other SD memory card or built-in memory of other audio equipment through the personal computer.


  2. Audio contents downloaded by connecting with the "DL-B01" can be stored in built-in memory or optional SD memory card and can be played.
  3. Musical data can be taken from both music CD or Website by connecting with the personal computer.


  4. Can be used as SD memory card Reader/Writer by connecting with the personal computer.(Only for data without security information)


  5. Approx. 40% smaller and lighter than Toshiba's previous model "MEA110AS."


  6. Musical data is based on "SD Audio Format" for interoperability with other audio player using the same format.
