1. NWG Meeting in Hakodate

   NWG (NGP adhoc Working Group) meeting was held on June 13 (Tue.), 2006 in Hakodate, Hokkaido, Japan.

   In this meeting, some documents regarding Next Generation PHS (NGP) standard were explained, and some technical issues about them were discussed among each participation member.

   As for the BWG (Business Working Group), information relating to Next Generation PHS was exchanged among them as well.

   Total 31 persons attended the meeting mainly from Japan and from Thailand.



2. TWG/NWG Meeting in Hainan

   TWG (Technical Working Group) meeting and NWG meeting were held on July 11 (Tue.) and 12 (Wed.), 2006 in Sanya, Hainan, China.

Hainan Meeting Scene

   TWG and NWG held a presentation and discussion meeting on NＷG standard and Turbo PHS carried over from the former Hakodate meeting.

   And special speech session was held in this Hainan meeting. In this session, the systems of latest attention were introduced, such as WiMAX from Intel, MBTDD-W from Qualcomm, of course Advanced PHS from Willcom and Next generation PHS from Toshiba. Intel and Qualcomm are special guests for this session.

   Total 51 persons attended the meeting from China, Japan and USA.
