International Mobile Communication Industry Forum and Exhibition was held in Beijing from March 26 to 28, 2007.

It is the 6th consequent year that the forum was hold since 2002. We participated the forum in hope to reinforce business relationship with China, the county that has leaped to the world’s biggest mobile market, as well as to promote Kyoto at Kansai as the Mecca for world’s mobile business.

Industrial elites held summit and business seminar on 3G and WiMax on the forum. Vice president of China Telecom, Mr. Yang Jie;　deputy mayor of Beijing, Mr. Ji Lin and governor of Kyoto Prefecture, Mr. Yamada gave courtesy addresses at the beginning. Meanwhile, 172 enterprises and institutions displayed their products. These included 39 Japanese entities in mobile terminal and mobile-related businesses such as Kyocera Corp., Murata Manufacturing Co. Ltd., ROHM Co. LTd., OMRON Corp., NICHICON Corp., Simatsu Manufacturing Co. Ltd. and Sharp Corp. from Kansai. Big Chinese companies like Motorola China, China Mobile and Datang Telecom Technology Co. Ltd. also participated exhibition. Since Kyocera and Sharp displayed PHS terminals in the exhibition, we will introduce them here.

2. Kyocera Booth
