Mr. Fujii, vice chairperson of BWG introduced the latest market trend of PHS.

The growth of PHS subscribers in China slows down due to the price cut of mobile service, but the trend to introduce new data service for PHS is observed.

Besides, Mr. Fujii made the following activity proposals concerning cooperative activities with other WGs to PHS MoU Group.

• Activities to help expand XG-PHS including the definition of the system application, the comparison to other systems, and research on presumed conditions to apply the system speculation aboard .
• Activities to reinforce the consciousness of PHS system’s presence including periodical investigation of user status and periodical publication of relevant data.
