The 22nd PHS MoU General Meeting was held in Chengdu, China from September 12 to 14, 2007.

The meeting venue, Sheraton Chengdu Lido Hotel, happened to be adjacent to the stadium where the women’s world cup was held at the same time.

When most of our attendants entered Chengdu on September 11, the soccer game also started. Many roads around the hotel area were closed and the taxi I grabbed from the international airport in Chengdu dropped me off at a place several kilometers’ away from the hotel. I eventually arrived at the hotel on foot, drugging my heavy luggage and walking in a small rain. Fortunately, my frozen heart was soon warmed up on receiving the lovely smiles from waitresses in Chinese dress from Sheraton Hotel. Thanks, Sheraton Chengdu Lido Hotel!!

The biggest event of the general meeting this time is admission of the specification for XG-PHS. Starting from a several pages’ structural guideline, the specification is developed into a book of over four hundred pages, owing to the effort of all relevant parties. Thanks for all your efforts and contributions made to promote the XG-PHS worldwide among this critical time when various wireless telecom standards are popping up.

XG-PHS specification is completed owing to the collective effort of all MoU members. To expand the achievement internationally, let’s continue consolidating the union of MoU and exerting full power of PHS MoU！
