1. Please let us know of your company profile in brief.

NEC Infrontia Corporation (formerly Nitsuko Corporation) was founded in 1918, and began as a company that develops, manufactures and markets telecommunication equipment and components. Currently, the NEC Infrontia Corporation is engaged in three business areas, i-Communication System, i-Appliance, and i-Solution, and has established a wide market base both overseas and in Japan.

i-Communication System: Based on the cores of Internet technology and mobile communication technology, We have expanded our businesses in communication systems such as key telephones, security equipment, and mobile terminals.

i-Appliance: By integrating various key components such as wireless LAN, IC card-related equipment, bar-code reader, and fingerprint authentication equipment, we offer a wide array of the terminal equipment including POS system, business-use PDA, Web terminal, and handy terminal that can match various business types and operations.

i-Solution: With specialized terminals and reliable IT technology, we offer most suitable system solution plan to meet different demand from different customers.


2. What are your company features and the differences from other companies in general?

With many years’ IT experience, and by making use of various telecom methods such as IP Telephony, PHS and Wireless LAN, NEC Infrontia Corporation proposes flexible business model that combines network with IP/Web terminal, suits ubiquitous world and relies little on specific time and venue.


3. Please let us know of your company policy.

Through all stages from development, procurement, manufacturing, sales and after-sales of network and IT solution products, NEC Infrontia Corporation keeps highly reliable quality and services to fulfill various demands of our customers.


4. What are your business strategies against your rival companies?

Besides the 50 domestic direct sales channels, our group also includes relevant companies in Japan as well as abroad, which ensures our advantage to provide all-around services from development, manufacturing, exhibition, sales and after-sales.


5. What are your customer companies?

Our clients are not only in Japan. We opened office in world’s biggest telephone system market, which are centered as North America, Europe and Asia. Multiple overseas branches are established to help serve the need of business reshuffle and system upgrade of our overseas customers.


6. Where are your major development offices and manufacturing lines?

We have two development centers in Japan and PHS related products are designed at Sumida office in Tokyo. Our two major factories for manufacturing are in the city of Shiroishi, Japan and in the city of Pathumthani, Thailand respectively.


7. What products related to telecommunication business do you make?

We manufacture various products coping with data communication such as PHS, VoIP and Wireless LAN related products to help realize a ubiquitous environment through mobile, IP and broadband communication. Based on the core office communication gateway called Aspire, by developing the next-generation IGS (Information Gateway System) that is not only a switchboard for traditional telephones, but also a combination with ubiquitous world, NEC Infrontia Corporation is able to provide the convenient network system that supports all business scenes.




8. What is your present main product and product lineups of the PHS?

We started PHS field experiment as well as PHS business in Japan in 1991. At the current stage, we are selling PC-card-type PHS data communication card and CF-type PHS data communication card on retailing market. For company clients, we also developed PHS voice terminal used in private network to support private system in hospitals and various business offices.



9. What do you think the present problems and the future view of the PHS as a whole?

It is a critical moment for PHS business in Japan and in China. It is believed that new business has to be developed and carried out. We would like to keep making contributions to PHS which is already an internationally acknowledged Japanese technology, by developing more consumer-friendly PHS terminals.


10. What products are expected to be developed by your company in 3, 5 and 10 years from now?

We will carry out technical development, manufacturing activities, sales and after-sales of information terminals that are designed for all clients from new users to veteran subscribers.
