Chairperson Welcome

The PHS Guidebook provides the outline of Personal Handyphone System (PHS) highlighting the characteristics and advantages of introducing this new communication technology into telecommunication networks.

The guidebook is framed to respond to the needs of the engineering strata associated with fixed/mobile network operators, telecom equipment manufacturers, and service providers. The topics covered not only cater to the technical aspects of the PHS technology but also throw light on its merits and applications. The guidebook covers the technical aspects in a lucid and practical approach without going into technical intricacies and therefore will also benefit everyone with a general interest in the technology.
